My Jangling Heart has been reviewed in Clown Magazine. The review is generally favourable, although the chorus to Strangely Drawn has been misheard, the lyric is 'Just cold and I want to get warm'.

The wrong version of Child of the 60s was uploaded to this site earlier in the week. It was a crappy version that wasn't properly produced or mixed, the new version is now on the site and can be downloaded (mp3) for free.

I'm pleased to say that the new album will be ready in a few weeks. I'm sorry for the delay, health made things difficult and then some other stuff got in the way.

Health wise things are much improved and hopefully this will make me more productive in the near future. There's a huge amount of songs that currently exist in my head or in very rough form but turning them into Lokomotiv Stockport recording has been very challenging but as I say things are a bit easier now.

The album should be ready in two to three weeks - possibly less. It's brilliant.

Through having an emusic subscription I've discovered great bands like Pedro the Lion, Clem Snide, Candypants and the Brian Jonestown Massacre and it's really cheap.

You can get 50 free downloads with your first month and if you go for the smallest package (30 downloads per month) and cancel before the month's out you'll get 80 downloads for about a tenner so it's worth giving a go. Most artists featured are not very mainstream and not especially wealthy so it's guilt free but cheap.

Please help yourself to an acoustic version of 'John Calvin Blues' which is now available on this site. This song is not being released on either of the two albums in the pipeline.

The new album, due out in January has been delayed by a combination of poor health and bad luck.

The new estimated release date is between the very end of january and early february.

In the meantime preview tracks will be available here, at myspace and at mp3.com

The widespread panic that followed My Jangling Heart selling out at CD Baby should subside shortly as they now have more copies in stock.

When the new album 'it happens to us all' is released in January I will be giving away free copies.

A spokesperson for Trebletone Records today sought to squash persistent rumours suggesting that political correspondent turned heroically bad dancer John Sergeant will be joining indie pop outift Lokomotiv Stockport in a Bez like role. "There is no truth in the rumours" he said. Band leader Frank Pelham added "I would have liked to see John on stage with us giving political commentary during songs but he wants to leave all that behind and was only prepared to join us as a dancer so we can't take this any further, unfortunately".

Lokomotiv Stockport's debut album, 'My Jangling Heart' - 10 songs about romantic pain and incompetence - was released to worldwide indifference in July 2008, the follow up 'It happens to us all' will be out in January 2009.

Trebletone Records

A new track 'This time together' taken has been uploaded to this site and to the myspace page. You can listen to the whole song (and many others) which is taken from the forthcoming album 'It happens to us all'.

Recording for the new album is going very well and is about 50% finished. It will be released in January 2009.
